To-day
is my last day visiting family in Waterdown, Ontario. Tomorrow it will be a
short ride to the US border at Buffalo, then head in a southerly direction
towards Skyline Drive in Virginia. That will take me onto the Blue Ridge Parkway,
after which I will turn west, spend a day in Memphis paying my respects to the
King, then head for home. The weather forecast for tomorrow is for a dry start,
so hopefully my luck will hold.
It has been great to see family and friends
again, the younger ones grow so fast these days both in body and maturity. Some
great day rides were had with my granddaughters as passengers, they really love
to ride, and I also managed to have a good senior edition 101 course on the
capabilities of my iPod from a 12 year old expert, and an informative session
on “how to use Facebook” from a friend.
One never stops learning, especially in this fast paced world we live in. After
some 45 years as a computer engineer I think I need to go back to school.
