Tuesday 14th August
2012 Home to Twin Falls Idaho 656 miles.
Clear
and crisp when I left home about 0700. An easy run up over Snoqualmie Pass,
then into eastern Washington, cutting down through Oregon and into Idaho. Not a
great deal of traffic, some road works in Oregon and Idaho. After Snoqualmie it
was much the same, hot, hazy and a burnt landscape. Kind of boring. I could see
and smell the fires at Cle Elum, the smoke was thick around Ellensburg, and
didn’t really clear until Yakima.
Tomorrow
I’ll cut into Nevada to Wells, then head east, stopping to check out Bonneville
Flats.
