So the journey begins - A run up to Blaine to check in for Corner #1

The first day of my journey was a trip up to Blaine and back to check in for the first corner, and make sure I understand the required paperwork. All done and mailed from Blaine. Photos taken outside the Blaine Post Office.

This way I do not have to make the trip up and back tomorrow, I can just head out early morning, and hopefully avoid the worst of the rush hour traffic around Seattle and Tacoma.

It was also a good test for the load and balance of the bike with all my gear. Feels OK.

Weather was pretty wet until north of Everett, then it dried out by Marysville, and the rest of the trip was OK. I5 north from Seattle is pretty boring with low cloud. When sunny it can be quite scenic with some views of the Olympics and North Cascades.

Miles traveled = 180

So, good to go to head south for California tomorrow – destination Eureka
